After the party season, our bodies need to recharge to get our energy back. No Dry January here, it’s all about a GREEN JANUARY! Get out into the country after the festive season with Huttopia. We’ve got a ‘green’ programme for you for the whole month, and it’s a long way from those January detoxes… Before we unveil what we’ve got in store, we wanted to take you inside the world of Huttopia.

Respect for nature is central to our values, here at Huttopia. All of our sites are located in beautiful natural environments and designed to be able to be given back to nature:

• Our infrastructure is built using raw timber from French forests, Douglas fir heartwood, which is naturally rot-resistant and therefore doesn’t need to be treated.
• Our accommodation is also built from untreated wood and is on stilts or wheels in order to limit our impact on the ground. Some of our accommodation are even ‘tiny houses.’
• Pitches in forests are forbidden to motorised vehicles, and vehicle use is limited on the majority of our sites.

Many measures are also in place to limit water and energy consumption. For example, we are working with Purezza to reduce the amount of waste we produce, especially plastic from water bottles.
