Discovering the Northeast United States

New York: The Must-See!

You can’t visit the Northeast United States without visiting New York! That’s where we recommend starting your journey. It’s one of the most visited cities in the United States. Known for its skyscrapers, its energy, its monuments and shows, its neighborhoods and atmospheres from Manhattan to Harlem, through Brooklyn, it’s a city that will leave its mark on you, that’s for certain.

Upstate New York, its Great Lakes and Forests: Heading to the Adirondacks

After a few days at the hectic pace of the City, you’ll certainly want to find some peace and nature. It’s time to discover the American great outdoors and experience camping, American-style.

First stop, 3 hours from New York:

Huttopia Adirondacks will be your base camp for visiting the beautiful Adirondacks park, a wilderness perfect for hiking, swimming in lakes or rivers, and boat trips. You’ll discover the splendor of Lake George and the surrounding mountains. Take advantage of this stop to experience the thrills of Six Flags Great Escape & Hurricane Harbor rides, visit historic sites from the French and Indian War as well as the Revolutionary War, and much more. In the evening, gather in front of your tent, around your campfire in the heart of a typical Adirondacks forest and admire the stars through the trees to end the day beautifully.

The Adirondacks region is a paradise for nature lovers and outdoor activities!

On to the White Mountains, in the Heart of New Hampshire:

After New York State, head to New Hampshire and more specifically the White Mountains region. Encompassing some of New Hampshire’s most wild, remote, and beautiful regions, the White Mountain National Forest is home to several of New England’s highest peaks as well as the highest mountain in the East, Mount Washington. This is where your next stop is located, just 4 hours from Lake George: Huttopia White Mountains. You’ll camp by a lake and can go canoeing or paddleboarding before visiting North Conway and its outlet stores, or try tubing on the Saco River.

Mount Washington reaches 6,288 feet, making it the country’s highest American mountain

Next Destination: Maine, its Beaches and Lighthouses

The next stop is less than an hour’s drive away and yet offers a complete change of scenery for this new part of the journey: from sandy beaches to rocky jetties protecting picturesque harbors, through pine forests and freshwater ponds, not to mention the sixty lighthouses along its coasts, the southern Maine coast region is full of opportunities to immerse yourself in nature.

Huttopia Southern Maine, set in a pine forest and beside a pond, will be your starting point for discovering this beautiful region. Some must-sees we recommend: the famous summer resorts of Kennebunk and Kennebunkport are just 25 minutes away by car; Portland, a typical New England city, with its red bricks, historic center with cobblestone streets and piers stretching into the sea, the famous lobster rolls, a real treat…

Boston, Final History-Rich Stop

To complete this beautiful journey, we recommend visiting Boston, capital of New England. It’s only an hour and a half from Huttopia Southern Maine Founded in 1630, Boston is one of the oldest cities in the United States. Marked by eclectic architecture, Boston has monuments, neighborhoods like Beacon Hill, Quincy Market, and varied and charming museums. But it’s also thanks to the famous Harvard University that Boston is well known. A visit to its campus is a must before ending this beautiful journey.
