Huttopia opened its first Californian site in July 2021, in a place steeped in history: Paradise Springs. Here’s the story of a remarkable place visited by colourful characters and the magic of Hollywood.

Heading towards Groningen via Apeldoorn and Zwolle, we turn off into the spectacular countryside just after the national park. This is it: the holiday starts here! The scenery is more beautiful than we could have imagined for this flat country, with enchanting roads, a century-old forest and the beautiful Overijsselse Vecht river. Then, suddenly, we find ourselves at the entrance to the Huttopia de Roos campsite, nestled in a lush green environment. Welcome to this haven of peace, open space and nature.
